The silent auction is a great opportunity to support AOS student members!
Items donated by companies and society members are bid on by conference attendees, and to the highest bidder go the spoils! From jewelry to fine art, collectables to services, and rare books and valuable out-of-print items, we’ve got it all. The generosity of our donors and bidders help fund events hosted by the AOS Student Affairs Committee, such as professional development workshops, student-professional events, and the not-to-be-missed Quiz Bowl.
The Student Affairs Committee welcomes and appreciates select items for the auction! With a minimum bid level of $10, please carefully consider your items for donation. We accept binoculars and other optics; tripods and other new or lightly used field supplies; education materials; in-kind services (e.g., statistics, bird identifications, etc.); trips; jewelry; art, prints, photos; collectibles; and software and DVDs. We will selectively accept vintage, hard-to-get, out-of-print, or autographed books and field guides. We are not able to accept boxes of periodicals, used textbooks, etc.

Silent auction items contributed to AOS may be claimed as a tax-deductible donation, but their value is determined by the donor and is independent of the amount of funds the item may raise through the Silent Auction.
